Monique Earl is the Assistant General Manager of Administration and Field Operations at the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT). In this role, Monique is responsible for approximately 270 employees and nearly a billion dollars in transportation funding. She also oversees the construction and installation of transportation infrastructure via the Paint and Sign and Signal Operations divisions.
Monique began her public sector career as a field deputy in the district office of Cindy Miscikowski, and served as Budget Deputy to Councilmember Bernard C. Parks. She also served as Deputy Controller for City Controller Ron Galperin and Deputy Mayor of Budget and Financial Policy in the administration of Mayor Antonio Villaraigsoa. Monique earned a Masters of Public Administration degree from American University in Washington, DC and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Northridge. Monique is a native of South Los Angeles and lives in Leimert Park with her husband and children.
