Delano Stevenson

Delano Stevenson serves as the Chief Communications Operator with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), a department within the City of Los Angeles. At LAX she leads communications for SkyLink, the Automated People Mover (APM), and the Rental Car Center (RCC), overseeing a 24/7 communications hub responsible for operational coordination, emergency management, and real-time information sharing across airport stakeholders, including public safety agencies, contractors, and executive leadership. She is also responsible for managing the Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain (DBFOM) P3 contract for the day-to-day operations of the SkyLink system.

Delano brings a strategic, solutions-driven approach to communication, with a strong focus on operational excellence and aligning complex systems and teams. She plays a key role in developing communication protocols, advancing large-scale operational readiness efforts, and supporting SkyLink preparedness for activation.

She is passionate about collaboration, innovation in transportation, and enhancing the passenger experience while strengthening industry partnerships. Delano has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from California State University, Chico.
